Weird things about me

Weird things about me

My July readings

My July readings

Hi guys. If you’re following me on Instagram, you might know that I am a book lover. Since I learnt to read, I always grab one with me everywhere I go. Here in Thailand, it is quite difficult to find a large choice of books. People don’t really read. When my boyfriend was visiting me, we found a huge bookstore at the 3rd floor of Siam Paragon : Kinokuniya. I really fall in love with this place. The shop offers books written in several languages which is really amazing.

I chose three books from Japanese writers. Two are from Haruki Murakami : Kafka on the shore which I have already read in French & Men without women. The second one a short stories collection about the relation between Men & Women. It is very interesting but can sometimes reminds you some bad experience. If you are not afraid of that, I highly recommend you to read this one.

I just started yesterday evening Nocturnes written by Kazuo Ishiguro. You might know him. He wrote the great success book titled Never Let Go which was adapted in screen with Keira Knightley in the cast.

Nietzsche attracted me again. I bought Beyond Good & Evil which I had read one million times in French. This one comforts me in every hard moments I had & I was curious to read it in English.

The last book I took is The Career Guide for creative & unconventional people by Carol Eikleberry & Carrie Pinsky. Currently, I am fond of this kind of business books. I also bought Collins Dictionaries about economics & business terms. They will help me during my business studies in London. Please let me know in the comments section if you want a review for one of these books. I will be glad to write it for you.

You made me insecure

You made me insecure

Tonight, I don’t want to write the kind of articles I use to. You may not understand it but never mind, I need to do it. Sometimes I am not as happy or positive as I show on my videos & posts. And actually, I am not a smiling person. I smile when I am happy or satisfied but when I have a normal mood, I don’t smile. Sometimes people think that I am always sad. It is not always untrue but I prefer to reserve this sign of happiness to something that really deserves. I don’t want to be fake. I would hate myself if I lie to people I love.

She was not her fault. Maybe yes, maybe no. I actually don’t know but the only thought of her makes me feel so insecure. For some people I will not named, she is perfect. To me, she is not but she has better capabilities than me. Even if, she represents the kind of people I hate, for a moment I wanted to be like her & to be admired like she was. I waste about six months by torturing myself with this little voice which told me :  » You’re not clever, you have not read these books, you don’t work… »

I was so wrong. Even if I got better from that situation, I still feel bad sometimes. I wanted to publish this text to tell to all of you that you should never let someone touch to your feelings. You are better than people who don’t pay attention to others’ emotions, feelings…

7 beauty products I adore !

7 beauty products I adore !

We all know how hard is to find the perfect beauty routine which fits with our skin & the aesthetic we want. Due to the upsurge of the number of beauty bloggers/YouTubers who are advertising a lot of products, we can get lost. Many reviews push some brands into the spotlight & then, we can be disappointed by them.  I think I spent sever entire years of my life looking for the best of them. Now, I will never change my everyday beauty care & make up because I would never live without these seven beauty products.

There are only two skin cares I use. They both are from the brand Fresh. The first one is the Soy Face Cleanser. I use it twice a day. To keep my skin very moisturized, I apply the Citron de vigne lotion all over my body & my face. Since I found this amazing moisturizer made with Vitamins C & E, I stopped buying face cream. For long time, my pores were huge. When I started using this, my skin is smoother. From the same brand, I use one of their lip balm: the sugar nude tinted lip treatment. At the beginning, I thought it will be colored, so I was kind of disappointed when I put it on my lips. Finally, I think the shade is okay but the thing I like the most about this product is its protection against the sun thanks to its SPF 15.

Currently, I don’t really use make-ups because I feel like I am melting each time I cover my face with a foundation. It is very hot in Bangkok. But, I really like to tint my lips & I found my two favorite colors & texture. The two lipsticks I use almost every day are from Kylie Cosmetics: Poison Berry & Dolce K. Their color is very sensual, nude & simple. The texture of Kylie’s products is very pleasant. It dries very fast & it lasts longer than others lip stick I used. In the vast maquillage’s universe, I always loved the Naked Basics 2 from Urban Decay. This palette is composed by only six nude & natural eye shadows. And I don’t waste my time to choose which shade will be mixed with another one. To perfect my eyes & get a sophisticated look, I just have to use the Sensational Lashes mascara from Maybelline New York. I tested several mascaras & I was never such satisfied.

In bonus, my last beauty secret that I would never break away from is vegetable oils. I often use Castor oil. It strengthens my hair & my nails. I blend a few drops of rice oil in my body lotion to preserve my skin from sun & pollution. I use other vegetable oils. If you are interested by this natural beauty routine, do not hesitate to tell me in the comments section.

Thanks for reading, you can find me on InstagramTwitter & Youtube. Friday, I will post a fashion video on YouTube so stay connected.
